Where can I get in touch to submit a self-referral?
You can refer yourself online via the website. You can visit the page directly by using the link to our referral page.
What happens after referral?
Our initial telephone assessment provides you with the opportunity to give us some brief information about your current concerns so that we can make a joint decision with you about the best way forward with your treatment.
We offer both remote and face-to-face therapy appointments to suit your needs. Our remote appointments, delivered securely online, provide a convenient and flexible way to access therapy from the comfort of your own home or another suitable private space, without the need to travel. For those who prefer to attend in person, face-to-face appointments are also available in Thurrock. Our aim is to make accessing support as easy and convenient as possible.
We understand that everyone has different commitments, and we will do our best to find an appointment that works for you. To help us offer appointments as quickly as possible, we ask that you provide availability across at least three different periods during our service operating hours. Having a wider choice of days and times helps us match you with a suitable appointment and may reduce your waiting time. If your availability is more limited, this may mean a longer wait for treatment. We encourage you to discuss any difficulties or individual circumstances with our team so we can explore your options together.
Working together
At the start of treatment, you and your therapist will agree what to work on, your goals, the treatment approach and how we regularly review progress together.
We ask you to attend regularly, take an active part in treatment and complete brief questionnaires at each session. Some treatments also include important agreed work or practice between sessions.
Who should I contact to cancel an appointment
For cancelling appointments, updating contact details, requesting letters, accessing online groups/resources, or any other general enquiries, please email Inclusion Thurrock on: inclusionthurrock@mpft.nhs.uk and a member of the team will get back to you within 24 hours.
Waiting Times
Inclusion Thurrock aim to offer treatment within 90 days. Waiting times can vary depending on the client’s specific availability requests for appointments. To update your availability, please email: inclusionthurrock@mpft.nhs.uk
