The Inclusion Thurrock Psychological Therapy Service

Inclusion Thurrock Psychological Therapy Service (PTS) offers a range of talking therapies for different mental health difficulties, including PTSD. It also helps manage difficulties linked with psychosis, paranoia or bipolar, as well as for difficulties that are associated with Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder (EUPD).

Because this service is situated in primary care, we are unable to facilitate therapy sessions for people who are in, or approaching, a mental health crisis, or who require crisis team support. Crisis services are accessible via the local Community Mental Health Team at Essex Partnership University Foundation Trust (EPUT).

The service works very closely with teams across Thurrock who provide a range of psychological therapies to ensure that patients’ needs are met across the region.

Who can access our service?

Our Psychological Therapies Service is for individuals who are 18+ and are registered with a GP surgery in Thurrock.

How can I access the service?

Referrals to Inclusion Thurrock PTS can be made via a professional, such as a Primary Care Mental Health Nurse (with one being present at all local GP surgeries), or via our Inclusion Thurrock NHS Talking Therapies service.

Referrals can be made via the regional multi-disciplinary team meeting. This is a regular meeting that takes place between health professionals from different backgrounds, to discuss the care of individual patients. The goal of an MDT meeting is to use the combined expertise of the team to recommend a treatment plan for each patient.
