Help for Veterans
Are you a Military Veteran?
If you have served in any of the Armed Forces for one day or more, either as a regular or a reservist then you are considered by the MoD to be a military veteran.
We provide services to;
- Veterans from the armed forces (Army, Royal Navy, Royal Air Force)
- Veterans of Merchant Navy who have served in a theatre of war
- Veterans from reserve forces, for example, TA and Field Hospital
- Immediate family members of the above veterans.
Inclusion Thurrock aim to work alongside current care providers in meeting the needs of veterans with mental health issues.
What can we offer?
Our aim is to improve the mental health and emotional wellbeing of ex-service personnel and their families. We can offer a range of psychological therapies to help you with depression and anxiety related disorders, this includes Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. We can also signpost you to other agencies that can help meet your needs, such as, social networks, employment, family support and housing.
How to Access the Service
You can refer yourself into the service by calling 01375 898680 and booking an assessment appointment, or speak to your GP and ask for a referral. If you are currently working with another agency, they can also contact Inclusion Thurrock to make a referral.
Our staff are trained to offer a wide range of evidence based psychological treatments.
What happens if I am referred?
If you are referred then you should receive an telephone call or letter asking you to book an assessment appointment. Someone from our service will ring you at the allocated appointment time and talk to you about what issues you have. They will then advise and discussed with you what course of treatment is appropriate. If you agree, a therapist will contact you to arrange treatment appointments.
